We choose to see and take responsibility for our environment by, based on our position, minimizing our environmental impact and to promote good working conditions.

Everyone can do something. We have actively chosen to be completely transparent in our sustainability efforts. To show our customers and our industry that we, as a newly established small player, are working hard to get as sustainable as possible. Both for the environment in general but also for the small child. Below you can read about our thinking, work and the certificates that we, in our current situation, are working with.

The ”heart leaf" is our own quality logo that stands for environmental awareness and concern about the ones who wear our products.  The "heart leaf" occurs both with and without the text "organic cotton", which visualizes the organic cotton that most of our products are produced by. The ”heart leaf" alone, without text, stands for concern about the environment in general, which we always try to convey in different ways. The "heart leaf" is no guarantee that the entire production-chain is organic. There are various reasons why not the whole chain is organic. It can be economic-reasons or simply defiencies in the way from crop to finished product.

Lillster tube socks are Oeko-tex certified. The socks are designed in Sweden. Produced in Sweden and Turkey. Since both companies are Swedish, we have full insight in working conditions and policies. We have assigned the socks our own quality logotype, "Heart Lover", which stands for environmental awareness and caring about its wearer.

Lillster antislip is available in sizes 16-21 + 22-27, Oeko-tex is certified and free from Phtalates.

We have chosen to start a collaboration with, in addition to our factory in Sweden, a factory in Turkey. The factory is Oeko-tex certified. In this way we can ensure that the socks do not contain any harmful substances and that working conditions are good. Here we can make the entire stocking at one and the same factory, thus avoiding unnecessary shipping factories.

Why also produce in Turkey?
- We meet our customers' demand for more socks with antislip.
- We raise the quality a further snap and extend its life span.
- We now make the entire sock in the same factory, which minimizes unnecessary freight.

The biggest climate thief is consumption and above all overconsumption. Everybody still needs socks. If you buy good socks you can have them for a long time, sell or give to another explorer. You do not throw a Lillster sock. It's like throwing away a soul. Each Lillster sock has it's very own personality and its own saga. This because we want to make the socks fun for the kids, but also because we want to highlight that things don't necessary need to be soulless stuff that we throw away faster than the blink of an eye. This, we think, is a way to a more conscious consumption where you buy great things that you actually need.

Lillsters scarfs/blankies are made of 100% organic cotton and the beanies are made of 95% cotton, 5% elastane. The cotton and cotton producer is GOTS certified. Since we can not ensure that the entire production is in accordance with GOTS standard, we can not say that the end product is GOTS certified. In other words, we can guarantee that the cotton is organic, but not that the entire chain of production is organic. Other factories in production, such as printing & dyeing is Oeko-tex certified. The entire production is located in Portugal. We chose to produce goods in Portugal, partly because the working conditions in the country high class and because they can produce 100% organic cotton with high quality.

To avoid unnecessary plastics we only use digital prints.

To minimize our environmental impact, all our hangtags and labels are made in Sweden. The manufacturer is certified to ISO 14001: 2004. The certificate is issued by AAA Certification AB.

Unnecessary plastic has been removed.
